Dr. N. Samba Kumar was awarded PhD from Manipal University in 2011. His doctoral dissertation was titled, ‘Assessment of distribution and abundance of ungulate prey using spatial models in Nagarahole and Bandipur Tiger Reserves of India’. At CWS, he was mentored by Dr. K. Ullas Karanth. Dr. Kumar served as the Joint Director for Science at Wildlife Conservation Society, India.
